Welcome to 2012!!!

So far it has been a fantastic New Year! We had a great New Years Eve with the Roth's followed by surprise tickets to the Nashville Predators New Years Day game (thanks Travis). Apart from the game, New Years Day was filled with plenty of relaxation in preparation for the year to come. Monday was a holiday so I took advantage and spent some time with Shawn & Cameron doing what guys do best! It's back to work today and it has been very busy so far! Here's to the new year, may you all find what you are looking for this year!

Never Put it Off

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today...because if you do it today and like it, you can do it again tomorrow!

I was given the opportunity to skip the Hockey Game on Saturday night and ride Pickett again. It was much warmer on Saturday November 29th but it was overcast all day and rainy. It was so bad that I had a hard time enjoying the ride......who am I trying to kid, it was a FANTASTIC DAY! I took my eldest son on this trip and he really enjoyed himself even though he acted at the last minute like he didn't want to go. I think we rode a few less miles but the terrain was a little more challenging in spots. This place is truly an OHV rider's paradise!

We had another great adventure and I cannot wait until my next trip to Pickett State Forrest.

The Tale of Two Goaltenders

Well, we attended an interesting game last night where the current goaltender of the Nashville Predators faced off against his predecessor.....Chris Mason. It seemed from the moment that the game began that they set out to prove which was the best.....Mason or Ellis. I have never attended a "double shutout" game before and when the "snow" settled, there would be only one victor.

I heard allot of talk in section 303 (the Cell Block is my section) including things like "see Mason, that's how you make a stop" but at the end of the game when Mason received the 1st star of the game the cheers made it apparent that all of his fans did not leave Nashville when he was traded at the end of last season.

I am glad I was able to attend the first game with my favorite goaltender playing for the opponent and I didn't have to chant "he shoots, he scores, you SUCK"! I still don't know if I will be able to do it.

Final Score: Blues 1 - Predators 0

Pickett State Forrest

Saturday, November 22, 2008:

It was a cold morning (around 17 degrees when we left the hotel) and we are heading out for some fun. Allot of people think that OHV are not and can not be good for the environment, but I would tend to disagree. For the most part, the OHV community is "tread lightly" and we respect what we enjoy.....our opportunity to combine two passions, a passion for the great outdoors and a passion for climbing and crossing the impossible.

Gotta love these machines...and look at that view!
